Albert Cheung is a New York based photographer specializing in wedding photojournalism, travel documentary, and environmental portraiture. As a member of the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalism Association), he has covered weddings internationally and has worked on various commercial, editorial, and documentary assignments.
His images have appeared in notable publications such as the New York Times, The Architect's Newspaper, and published by Atria Books. Albert earned a professional degree in Architecture from Cornell University and spent several years practicing as a designer for architects such as I.M. Pei prior to his full-time investment as a photographer. His style reflects his formalistic training of composition and perspective married to the evocative expression, while being engaging yet unobtrusive in his approach with people and their surroundings.
Albert is also a founding partner of FRAME, a creative studio based in New York City specializing in architectural, environmental, and interior photography.
Albert is a second-generation Chinese-American currently living in New York City. He is married to his wife, Soo, and can be frequently spotted eating coffee beans right off the shelf at supermarkets nationwide.
